Eastern Christian School is seeking a Before School Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. The Before School Paraprofessional supervises before school activities. This position is located on the Eastern Christian Upper Elementary and Middle School campus. The hours and schedule for this position is 7:00am – 8:00am, Monday through Friday. 

Responsibilities Include:

Provide student supervision before the school day begins. 

Oversee student sign in and activities

Ensure that all safety standards are followed.

Ensures that all children are respectful of school property and school rules are followed.

Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, absences and emergency information on each child.

Qualifications Include:

Experience working with children is preferred.

Good communication skills with people from many different backgrounds.

Acceptance of ECSA’s Statement of Faith.

A strong, clear, Christian testimony.

It is anticipated that the person in this position will have regular, predictable on-site attendance.

The person in this position regularly communicates with teachers, students and parents. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Eastern Christian School is seeking a full-time Digital Content Creator & Manager. The Digital Content Creator & Manager supports Eastern Christian School’s digital storytelling efforts across social platforms. The Digital Content Creator & Manager is responsible for developing, producing, and managing multimedia content that inspires, informs, and engages our audiences while amplifying the school’s mission and brand voice. The Digital Content Creator & Manager is both a visual storyteller and a social strategist — someone who can create compelling graphics, capture high quality photos and videos, and manage social channels with professionalism and intention.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Create original content including:
    • Graphic design (event promotion, announcements, visual storytelling)
    • Short-form video (reels, interviews, day-in-the-life, testimonials)
    • Photography (student life, events, faculty features)
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all social media channels, including scheduling, posting, community engagement, and analytics
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to source stories and content ideas
  • Monitor trends and insights to refine strategy and drive engagement
  • Track metrics and prepare performance reports
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual and written content
  • Create visual assets for varying school needs as needed.
    • Produce graphics for web/email/print, and presentation decks, etc. 
    • Capture and edit videos for use on multiple platforms
    • Design digital and print collateral
    • Photograph school events

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in social media management and content creation
  • Strong photography and video production skills (shooting and editing)
  • Proficiency in graphic design
  • Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Buffer)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of social media trends, audience targeting, and platform best practices
  • Ability and willingness to work outside of standard school hours
  • A strong philosophical commitment to Christian education and the mission of the school.

Preferred:

Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the Eastern Christian School Business Office by ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment processing for tuition, fees, and related services. The Accounts Receivable Specialist must exercise a strong attention to detail and demonstrate professional communication skills, and genuine compassion in interactions with families and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate, send, and track invoices and account statements for tuition, extracurriculars, and other school-related services. 
  • Receive and apply payments (checks, ACH, credit card) to appropriate accounts in the school’s accounting system.
  • Reconcile daily payments and customer account balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor receivables and work compassionately with families to resolve past-due balances. 
  • Prepare AR reports as needed to support financial oversight and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with Finance and Admissions offices to align billing with enrollment, financial aid, and school calendar.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of concessions, remissions, discounts, scholarships, and financial aid.
  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold Christian values in all exchanges.
  • Support general business office tasks, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or payment processing.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with sensitivity and professionalism in family interactions.

Eastern Christian School is seeking a Food Services Assistant. The Food Services Assistant will assist with providing food services to the  High School campus. They will assist with food production, food preparation, sales, and delivering a high level of customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cooking and cold food production

  • Restocking and organizing the kitchen

Eastern Christian Preschool & Elementary School is seeking a paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. The Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher(s) with the instruction and assessment of students as well as additional assigned and clerical duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist teacher(s) with instruction in the classroom (i.e. work with small groups or individuals while teacher instructs and manages the class)
  • Instruct students outside of the classroom (i.e. hallway, conference room) as directed by the teacher(s). Instruction may include but is not limited to reteaching a concept, providing enrichment for advanced students, assessing students.
  • Assist teachers with safety precautions including fire drills, evacuation drills and lockdown drills.

Kitchen Substitutes - Eagles Cafe

The Eagle’s Cafe (cafeteria), located at the High School campus in North Haledon, occasionally needs substitutes to help in the kitchen.

This is a five (5) hour shift. 8:00 AM-1:00 PM unless otherwise specified.

Requirements include personal mode of transportation for inter-campus lunch delivery.  Tasks include general kitchen prep and clean up at the direction of the supervisor on staff.

Homestay Family - 2025-2026 School Year

Eastern Christian is seeking Homestay Families for the 2025-2026 school year. The homestay family is responsible for cultivating a safe, nurturing, structured and comfortable home environment for Eastern Christian School’s international student(s). The Homestay Family should be able to develop a relationship with the student in the home; grounded in compassion, mutual respect, and consistency. Hosting an international student is truly a ministry, an opportunity to share Christ’s love in your home. When an international family decides to send their child to America, a large measure of trust is being given to Eastern Christian School and to the Homestay Family. The Homestay Family will ensure that each child will be safe and loved. Eastern Christian expects the Homestay Family to take a proactive and hands-on approach and are responsible for a multitude of tasks related to the students’ experience at their home and at Eastern Christian School.

An annual stipend is paid to the Homestay Family.
